End of Thailand, end of the travel!

Friday 10 April

All we knew, that’s good to have plans not far than for 24 h maximum, that morning email from Qatar, Dorian’s plane of Monday was canceled! We waited the end of afternoon to see if French embassy called to say that the visa is already ready (a very small chance). They called but to say that they didn’t get any return from Paris. So we took a fly for Veronika on Thursday 16 and Dorian rebook his cancel fly for the same date. 20h to wait in Doha, but it will be still travel! We were quite happy fly was not crazy expensive 560€, much more than usual but possible to change it without fee, and it was the same price even for one month after. Because Dorian fly was cheaper, we are flying back to Europe for 920€ for 2, correct for this special time.

Monday 13 April

Dorian was cooking breakfast, Veronika arrived in the kitchen with a very good news! French embassy just called, the visa is ready! We ate, jumped in a bus and pick up the passport with visa! Back home before 12! Again very impressed by this administration, very efficients!

Tuesday 14 April

Last shopping, preparing all luggage, not too hard we didn’t open everything, and this time we did not care so much about the weight, we are allowed at 30kg per person.
Rain! First time in more than one month, the owner told us that rainy season will start, good time to go.

Wednesday 15 April

Last night bitten by mosquitoes! Our plane is Thursday at 2h10am, we moved at the end of the afternoon to be able to take bus to the airport. The ladyboy who “manage” the house wasn’t there for check out, the owner told us that he had an argue with her/him (we never know). Anyway he will send our deposit by bank account.

Empty airport, we arrived at 6pm, a long wait, but check in, at 10pm very early and with lot of desks open. We didn’t get any problem at the border even if we were in overstay of 1 day, with the new regulation no overstay taken into account (under conditions). We spent time in the only duty free shop opened, to use our last baths.

And we were in the plane, bye bye Thailand!
